Floor-supported garage shelving is another site-built option. One method for constructing these is to form upright supports by running vertical 2x4 boards every 50 inches. Each 2x4 should rest on the floor and be attached to a rafter or ceiling joist at the top. Then, additional 2x4 boards are attached horizontally on edge between the uprights and particle board is used to create the shelf. Dimensions are usually 19-25 inches deep with 25 inches between each shelf. These are only suggested dimensions and can be adjusted to better accommodate the size of the items that will be stored.
The shelves made of glass come with brackets you attach to the wall to hold the shelf in place. They can also be placed over a sink if you don't have a traditional medicine cabinet already there. It's a nice place to keep liquid soap bottles and hand towels ready for use. This frees up the area around the sink and tub so it doesn't have to be cluttered with all types of bottles and sponges.
Ladder shelves as the name suggests are the ones, which are taller in size and have a ladder fixed or detachable to help the user access the top rows of the shelves. Hanging shelves are also used to highlight the interior designing of the house. They provide a special look to your room! Shelves are made to store your belongings in such a way that you would not have problems in finding your things at the time of need. Shelves can be used in various purposes, and they are, most importantly, safe. Empty yet well crafted shelves are a treat for the eyes and give your room a different and abstract look. So the next time you plan to redesign your house, just think and plan where you can install such useful shelves.
